Peer Review Policy
The International Journal of Clinical, Biomedical and Health Sciences Research uses a double-anonymized peer-review process for research manuscripts. Under the double-anonymized model, the identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers and reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors during the review process.
Initial Editorial Assessment
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine:
- Relevance to the journal's aims and scope
- Scientific and methodological suitability
- Basic manuscript quality
- Ethical compliance
- Completeness of required declarations
- Potential plagiarism, duplicate publication or other integrity concerns
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these basic requirements may be rejected without external peer review.
External Peer Review
Manuscripts considered suitable for review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and availability and should have no conflicts of interest with the authors, institutions or research being evaluated.
Reviewers Evaluate
Reviewers are requested to assess, as appropriate:
- Scientific originality
- Research question and objectives
- Methodological rigor
- Statistical methodology
- Ethical compliance
- Clarity and completeness of reporting
- Interpretation of findings
- Limitations
- References
- Tables and figures
- Overall contribution to the field
Editorial Decision
Following peer review, the editor may make one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
The final editorial decision is the responsibility of the editor and is not determined automatically by reviewer recommendations.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts under review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, reproduce, use or distribute manuscript content or ideas for personal or professional purposes.
Reviewer Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose relationships or circumstances that could influence their assessment and should decline the review when an actual or significant potential conflict exists.
Review Timelines
The journal aims to process manuscripts efficiently while allowing sufficient time for rigorous peer review. Review timelines may vary according to manuscript complexity, reviewer availability and editorial workload.
The journal does not guarantee acceptance or a fixed review period.
